• Earn 8.50% AER (fixed for one year) on balances up to £2,500. After one year the rate goes back to Bank of England base rate less 1%. Balances over £2,500 earn 0.10% AER (variable).

No interest or usage fees on arranged overdrafts for the first 12 months from when you open the account (not including customers who are moving from another Alliance & Leicester current account).
